Mahum is an investor and filmmaker based out of Los Angeles, California. Mahum currently works as a Ventures Associate at Mother, a global creative agency, where she pushes the intersection between the worlds of culture and finance.

After receiving her B.A. from Barnard College at Columbia University, Mahum wrote, directed, and produced the feature film A Good Dream. A Good Dream (2018) won 17 awards internationally - including Best Feature Film and Best Director - and was nominated for 9 other awards. The film was acquired by Freestyle Digital Media and is available on iTunes, Amazon, GooglePlay and more.

Mahum received an M.B.A. from NYU Stern School of Business as well as an M.F.A. from NYU Tisch School of the Arts.

At NYU, Mahum took a special interest in bridging the intersection between art and finance. She specialized in finance and management at NYU Stern, earning a Story Mining and Supply Scholarship as well as the Essential Entertainment Scholarship. Simultaneously at NYU Tisch, Mahum produced a Sundance award winning short film, studied under Oscar winning directors and producers, and continued to write, direct, and produce films.

Prior to Mother, Mahum worked in the art finance sector and consulted for media and consumer brands.
