Mr. Davis is the co-founder and Managing Partner of Renew Capital and serves as the firm’s chief investment officer. Renew Capital is a pan-African early-stage investment firm that has been investing in Africa for more than 10 years and operates in 14 African countries. Mr. Davis designed an investment model that invests in tech and tech-enabled startups and supports their growth with management development to help startups capture significant market share, modernize industries, create jobs and realize returns.

Prior to founding Renew Capital, Mr. Davis worked as a principal consultant at the Touchstone Consulting Group, a strategy and management consulting firm in Washington, D.C. At Touchstone, he advised executives and government leaders, and led projects related to environmental sustainability, international development, information technology and finance. 

Mr. Davis is an active guest-lecturer and public speaker on international finance and impact investing. Mr. Davis is an active angel investor and has invested in more than 40 companies in Africa.Mr. Davis has an undergraduate degree in physics, a masters of science in physics and business, and is a CFA® charterholder. Mr. Davis lives with his wife and business partner, Laura Davis, and their daughter Brooklyn in Ethiopia.
